Description

Brown and Caldwell has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Marketing Senior Specialist in our growth-oriented engineering, environmental consulting, and construction firm serving our Private Sector Business Unit (PSBU). This exciting position will focus on supporting PSBU's strategic growth market sectors, particularly those in energy. The position is ideal for candidates with a passion for strategic business development, compelling writing, creative thinking, and pursuit development. We are looking for candidates who are self-driven, efficient with deadlines, and able to work effectively with diverse teams of engineers, marketers, and design staff to create and develop persuasive content and standout deliverables. The successful candidate will partner and work closely with senior marketing and sales leaders on tracking opportunities and developing strategies to capture work in competitive markets; creating persuasive proposals, presentations, and marketing materials; developing and training of team members; and maintaining systems and tools to promote overall efficiency and effectiveness. The position provides a variety of sales and marketing support functions as outlined below. The ideal candidate is capable of serving as the Primary Marketer with little oversight. This position is 100% virtual.

Detailed Description:

The Marketing Senior Specialist works closely with senior leaders supporting sales/marketing and business development efforts, including proposal tracking; creation of persuasive proposals, presentations, and marketing materials; and maintenance of systems and tools to promote overall efficiency and effectiveness. Primary responsibilities include the following:



  • Pursuit Development: Partners with pursuit teams to advance our positioning and deliver pre-RFP presentations, SOQs, and proposals that resonate with our clients. Responsibilities include coordinating all elements of pursuits with a strong focus on efficient and timely production, including pursuit strategy development, messaging, content development, formatting, proofreading, coordination with graphics, editing/review, compliance, brand adherence. Ability to direct and lead interview preparation and coaching of technical staff as required.
  • Client Development: Works with Area Growth Leader (AGL), Market Sector Leaders (MSLs), Client Service Manager (CSMs), and Client Service Teams (CSTs) to foster overall development strategy and ensure action plans are created, executed, and updated. Provides general business development support to facilitate CSM/CST client contact, including assembling information packages; working with CSMs to understand and respond to client needs, meetings, and events; connecting CSMs to other clients, experts, and opportunities within the organization; organizing client workshops and special events; and maintaining marketing files.
  • Business Development: Coordinates with other marketers and senior technical staff to implement market area and market sector growth strategies. Supports communications and branding efforts to enhance BC's position in the market and overall program effectiveness.Provides planning support for priority and regional conferences to maximize presence and investment.
  • Meeting Facilitation: Facilitates client service team and pursuit-related meetings, including working with external teaming partners.
  • Maintenance of Marketing Information:Updates, creates, and maintains all regularly used marketing collateral information and up-to-date qualifications statements, project descriptions, and resumes that reflect firm strengths and client benefits.Uses systems and tools to share best practices and products. Provides timely entry of accurate and complete opportunity information and products in company tracking system. Contributes to/provides training on best practices. Contributes to company marketing process improvements to support efficiency and overall sales program effectiveness.


Desired Skills and Experience:



  • A Bachelor's degree (Communications, English, Journalism, or Marketing preferred) with a minimum 7 years of experience in a related role. Experience in engineering, environmental, architectural, and/or construction field is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with emphasis on superior persuasive writing and presentation ability. Experience coaching others in interviews/presentations required.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently as well as in team environments, often under tight deadlines.
  • Highly skilled in persuasive writing.
  • Ability to identify key issues and patterns from partial/conflicting data.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Experience with InDesign highly preferred.
  • Travel up to 10%.


Salary Range:Theanticipatedstarting payrange for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and maybemore or less,dependingupon skills, experience,and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Location A: $31.00 - $42.60/hour

Location B: $34.10 - $46.90/hour

Location C: $37.20 - $51.10/hour
