Summary of the Job:

The Relationship Processing Lead Associate is responsible for being the "customer concierge" for the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) relationship managers. This position will provide function as an escalation point for the team and lead in the absence of the manager, conduct quality assurance reviews, facilitate training, generate reporting, and act as a subject matter in all areas of relationship processing work. Additionally they will provide, operational support and work alongside relationship managers on all deposit, lending and processing needs including origination, maintenance, document preparation/review, ongoing tracking while being available in locations with customer traffic and therefore responsible for upholding our customer experience. It is expected for this position to be knowledgeable in the CRE business line and utilize this knowledge to develop and maintain a strong working relationship with peers, customers, and lending staff.

About This Role:

Job Specific Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Deposit Accounts

  • Origination for Checking, Savings, CDaccounts. This includes the upload of necessary documents into FirstWorkand DocuSign
  • Maintenance and Transaction Processing
  • Process wires for customers
  • Generate and process NSF, OTP, Portfolio reports
  • Researchand statement requests
  • General maintenance to include balance Inquiries, funds transfers, check orders, debit card orders, pledges/holds, stop payments and address changes
  • Address Changes
  • CAW/BFO updates outside of origination
  • Account closing

Loans

  • Origination & Loan Closing
  • nCino Workflow; borrowing structure, loan term, loan details input and loan compliance
  • Smart Checklist Items to include reg validation and disclosures, CIP validation, HMDA compliance, service request form and move to credit status
  • Create closing packet if requested
  • Facilitate, balance and assist loan closings with RM's and title companies as needed
  • Review loan closing items including entity docs, CAW, BFO, insurance and UCC name verification
  • Create participation certificates
  • Order and review services, title, flood, appraisals, etc.
  • Review loan documents to ensure they match approved FNBO terms and conditions
  • Build loan documents in LaserPro
  • Collateral Management
  • Follow up on all collateral and lien perfection documentation.
  • Review due diligence to ensure all appropriate collateral documentation has been received and establish the proper covenants to track any ongoing needs or noted file deficiencies.
  • Exception Processing
  • Participate in regularly scheduled meetings with lenders, analysts, and appropriate management.
  • Training new hires
  • Generating reports
  • Quality Assurance
  • Assist in researching Loan Review documentation exceptions and establishing the proper covenants to note and track file deficiencies.
  • Assist lenders and lending team management in the correction of outstanding exceptions.
  • Create Amortization Schedules for loans that servicing cannot automatically calculate.
  • Maintenance and Transaction Processing
    • Execute loan payments and advances for customers
    • Construction equipment draws
    • Reporting to include past due payments, matured loans, portfolio reports and covenant reports
    • Support of RM in covenant and pipeline review
    • General maintenance to include address updates, balance/loan history request, restraints, invoice processing, payoff quotes

Compliance: Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties.

  • Complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls, as required.
  • Report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations.
  • Report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.
  • Ensure direct reports meet the above requirements and take action to address employee performance issues

Lead Functions:

  • Act as a subject matter expert and escalation point for all tasks associated with Relationship Processor role.
  • Provide training and support to new hires
  • Generate and distribute applicable reporting
  • Perform quality assurance reviews
  • Lead team in the absence of management

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and act as a subject matter expert
  • Strong working knowledge of operational support tasks associated with document preparation, loan maintenance and payments, deposit functions, bank systems, and commercial real estate draw processing
  • Strong organizational, analytical and customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must have the ability to effectively communicate with lending, operations, and technical staff.
  • Knowledgeable in the areas of Commercial Real Estate lending as well as business deposit accounts
  • Team player that can thrive in a challenging and collaborative work environment
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • High level of time management and attention to detail with integrity and ownership of work
  • Strong ability to identify appropriate resources for research and problem resolution

Minimum Qualifications:

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior Commercial Real Estate Lending and/or support experience
  • 1-3 years of processing and relationship associate experience

Desired:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience in loan documentation, loan operations and support, credit analysis, compliance, auditing, or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of banking/financial services experience
Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.

Compensation:

Compensation range (base pay): $46,679.00-$77,020.00

This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.

Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
