Description

The Training & Development Specialist is a key contributor to CNB's commitment to excellence in client service and employee development. This role is responsible for delivering engaging, effective training programs that reflect CNB's core values and WOW promise, with a strong emphasis on enhancing the branch experience.

Working closely with regional managers, branch managers, and regional support administration, the Specialist ensures that employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in their roles and deliver exceptional client service.

Below is a list of essential functions of this position. Additional responsibilities may be assigned in the position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate onboarding for new hires, introducing CNB's culture, values, and service standards.
  • Deliver targeted training focused on branch-specific job skills, including:
  • Transaction processing
  • Personal and business account opening
  • Salesforce utilization
  • Fraud prevention and detection
  • Other client-facing systems and procedures
  • Provide post-training support and mentorship to new hires, including on-the-floor coaching and performance feedback.
  • Collaborate with branch and regional leadership to identify training needs and tailor programs accordingly.
  • Prepare and manage all training logistics, including virtual classroom setup, system access, and materials coordination.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve training content to ensure relevance, accuracy, and alignment with business goals.
  • Build strong relationships across departments to stay informed on client needs, system updates, and procedural changes.
  • Champion a positive, professional, and fun learning environment that fosters growth and engagement.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, & EXPERIENCE

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential position requirement satisfactorily and a skills inventory is listed below. A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required, with related experience and secondary education preferred. A background screening will be conducted.

  • LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret documents. Possesses professional communication and interpersonal skills to write and speak effectively both one-on-one and before groups of clients or employees of the organization. Ability to communicate to clients directly and effectively.
  • TECHNOLOGY SKILLS: Ability to utilize telephone systems and possess good digital literacy including email, internet and intranet use. Prior experience or the ability to learn core transaction system, debit card system, statement processing system, cash advance machines and any other computer programs pertinent to performing branch job duties is preferred.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve challenging problems involving several variables in a standardized situation.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

This position is primarily based in an in-office environment and involves considerable time at a desk using a computer. Occasional travel is required-typically monthly-to various locations within the organization's footprint to support training initiatives, attend meetings, or facilitate learning events
