Position Summary


Utilizing their industry experience and high technical aptitude, the Senior Outreach Project Manager will play a critical role in delivering program goals for Energy Efficiency. This individual will accomplish their goals by managing key relationships with specialized Trade Allies and Contractors focused on delivering energy efficiency to end users through process improvements, new program creation and implementation, and cross functional teamwork. Working hand in hand with the outreach team, the Senior Outreach Project Manager will internally project manage, uncover opportunities for process improvement, and provide specialized expertise and support to the outreach team. This individual will be responsible for creating new program savings ideas, white paper ideas, and program initiatives by developing strong, high-level relationships with Trade Allies, end users, and program leadership.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop high level, working relationships with strategic Trade Allies and Contractors
  • Be responsible internally for project managing long form energy efficiency projects for end users providing updates and organizing interdepartmental meetings when necessary.
  • Identify root causes, inefficiencies, gaps in service and incorporate "best practice" methods of energy efficiency program implementation.
  • Support transition of pilot programs to full implementation.
  • Provide content for client communications and reporting.
  • Develop processes to evaluate energy savings and project viability which may also include collaborating with Energy Engineers as required.
  • Lead the identification, development, and implementation of new energy savings measures to energy efficiency programs, working cross functionally with multiple stakeholders.
  • Drive the process improvement of existing energy saving strategies, working with Trade Allies, program leadership, and other stakeholders in ensuring the most efficient ways to internally process market projects from project identification to project payment.
  • Attending trade shows and conferences geared towards new and innovative technologies designed to reduce energy use and promote efficiency.
  • Create, implement, and manage special programs and projects as necessary.
  • Adhering to the safety requirements of the organization and the utility client
  • Assist Outreach Management in training newer energy advisors on specific energy savings projects.
  • Be willing to consult and contribute to multiple Franklin Energy programs as needed and deemed necessary by program and Franklin Energy management.
  • Maintain professional appearance and behavior appropriate for a representative of our organization and utility.
  • Lead presentations promoting energy efficiency programs for targeted groups.
  • All other duties as assigned.



Position Requirements


Education and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university or equivalent experience. Technical school degree combined with demonstrated experience in electric/gas utility field will be considered. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience required with a thorough understanding and knowledge of energy efficiency processes, client relationship management, budgeting, cost estimating and analysis activities.
  • 6+ years of customer service, sales, project management, or marketing experience
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results in a multi-faceted environment with minimal oversight
  • CEA or CEM credentials preferred but not required

  • Be technically proficient in customer, contractor, and client facing conversations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with customers, clients and employees.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and solve both complex and practical problems.
  • Experience with report creation and distribution.

  • Valid driver's license



Travel Requirements



  • Willingness to travel up to 20%
