To ensure the safety, functionality, and longevity of our facilities and equipment through proactive maintenance, responsive service, and a commitment to excellence. We strive to support operational efficiency, minimize downtime, and create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all employees, customers, and stakeholders.

General Property maintenance



  • Respond to all routine and emergency service calls from the property manager.
  • General cleaning with vacuum, mop, broom, floor scrubber, waxer, steam cleaner, high pressure washer sprayer and leaf blower
  • Painting of walls, bollard, back-flow, and divots on slate in common areas and walkways
  • Repair door handles, locks (call locksmith) hinges.
  • Repair small areas of drywall (under 2)
  • Replace broken, stained, or misshaped ceiling tiles- Install and remove elevator pads.
  • Check storm drains and remove debris.
  • Organize storage rooms.
  • Provide access to roof, MPOE, utility, electrical and telephone rooms for vendors and or tenants with permission from property manager.
  • Check all vacancies for lights out, overall cleanliness. Test plumbing fixtures and pour water down drains. Clean windowsills and dust for cobwebs
  • Monthly fountain maintenance. Monthly pressure washing of public areas.


Plumbing



  • Delmar plaza facilities manager
  • Urinals: remove and replace cartridges
  • Sinks: remove and replace batteries for auto flush valves, repair and change auto flush equipment replace wax rings install new seats
  • Drains: clear toilets and sinks by plunger and handheld auger only
  • Hot water heaters- visually inspect for power, leaks and adjust temperature. Misc plumbing needed by property manager.
  • Electrical
  • Order and replace light bulbs around the building and parking structure.
  • Check for broken fixtures adjust lighting motion sensors.
  • Visually check for tripped breakers, reset if needed.
  • Misc electrical service needed by property manager HVAC.
  • Adjust thermostats in tenant suites. Change batteries in parking structure.
  • Adjustment of vents
  • Troubleshoot HVAC issues and report findings to property manager for repairs.
  • Quarterly preventative maintenance


  • Power washing all plaza grounds.
  • Power washing compactor area and vacuum all water.
  • Power wash all walls at the plaza
  • Polish all handrails.
  • Clean all windows at the plaza.


Assist with any current projects onsite with contractors

Education:


  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Technical or vocational training in general maintenance, HVAC, electrical, or plumbing preferred or in field operations

Experience:


  • 1-3 years of experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a retail or commercial environment
  • Proven ability to perform routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and emergency response across multiple store locations
  • Familiarity with retail equipment such as lighting systems, shelving, refrigeration units, and point-of-sale infrastructure
  • Knowledge of basic carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Experience working with work order systems and maintenance tracking software
  • Understanding of OSHA safety standards and retail compliance requirements
  • Crew/Team cooperation, safety mindedness, attention to detail
  • Experience working within a diverse work environment and customer service
  • Conflict resolution skills
  • Familiarity with using

Physical Demands:


  • Willingness to work in the elements - heat, wind, rain, etc.
  • Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time (95-100% of shift)
  • Ability to lift, push and pull at least 75 pounds.
  • Ability bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift
