As a High School Sports Reporter you will be responsible for covering high school teams, recruiting and other topics related to high school sports in Atlanta and throughout Georgia, as part of the AJC Varsity team. A successful candidate will be able to keep up with the latest on high school sports throughout the state, what is happening with the GHSA and national trends that can impact Georgia. A successful candidate will be able to quickly produce trending stories, efficiently contribute independently reported features and be able to cover live game action. Duties of this role include:
Education and Skills
USD 28.65 - 42.98 per hour Compensation: Hourly base pay rate is $28.65 - $42.98/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program. Benefits: Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
