Location: Chesapeake, VA (On-site/ 1 day hybrid based on performance)
Employment Type: Full-Time Department: Revenue Cycle / Billing Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Credit Refund Analyst to join our billing team. This role is responsible for monitoring and resolving credit balances, analyzing patient accounts, and ensuring accurate payment processing. If you're computer-savvy, comfortable navigating multiple systems, and have experience with both commercial and government insurance, we'd love to hear from you! Key Responsibilities: * Monitor and resolve credit statuses in work queue. * Analyze patient accounts to determine credit reasons. * Confirm recurring charges and verify accurate payments from payers and patients. * Utilize payer remits, websites, billing systems, and other resources to determine required actions. * Ensure correct primary and secondary payments are on file. * Update insurance information and request claim submissions for new payers. * Enter and apply adjustments up to $1,000; submit requests for adjustments over $1,000. * Process refunds up to $3,000; submit requests for refunds over $3,000. * Audit specified accounts for accuracy and compliance. Common Credit Refund Reasons: * Corrected claims or removed charges * Overpayments * New insurance information Performance Metrics: * Expected to process approximately 40 accounts per day Qualifications: * Proficiency in Eclipses (EMR), FinThrive (billing system), and Microsoft Excel * Ability to read and interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) * Experience navigating payer portals * Familiarity with commercial and government insurance plans * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite Why Join Us? * Collaborative and supportive team environment * Opportunities for professional growth * Competitive compensation and benefits package *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
