Summary

The Icon Engineering team is a service that Icon Shelters offers to our outside sales associates to interpret technical information from end customer and architects' requests. The Icon Engineering team is the technical interface between Outside Sales and the end customer during the design stage.

The Designer 1 position is responsible for tasks related to Pre-Sale and Post-Sale requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  1. Communication between Sales Reps or Customers during the design phase of a project
  2. Accurate development of Quotes and Conceptual drawings
  3. Estimating the required materials to fabricate a project.
  4. Accurate development of Submittal and Installation Drawings (Inventor / AutoCAD)
  5. Creation of Fabrication Prints
  6. Enter BOM into EPR system (Job Boss)
  7. Process revisions to submittal and fabrication drawings
  8. Process print releases to the shop
  9. Perform other related duties as required

Education and/or Experience



  • High School Diploma and proven experience with CAD/Design Software minimally required
  • Associate's Degree or engineering technology degree preferred


Travel



  • This position requires minimal to no travel


Computer Skills



  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access


Other Requirements



  • Knowledge in detailing procedures
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced production environment
  • Highly self-motivated to take action and keep projects moving forward
