The Position The Opportunity

As a Development Inspection Technician, you are inspecting materials using precision measuring instruments and electronic testing equipment to determine conformance to written specifications. You are leading, analyzing, and interpreting drawings and schematics, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations that relate to products and processes. You collaborate with guidance to inspection requestors

Also, in this role, you are:

  • Inspecting and measuring materials for conformance to specifications in the lab.
  • Verifying and leading all non-conformances found by other inspectors, and its disposition.
  • Responsible for informing the inspection requestor of non-conforming materials. Recording inspection results on inspection records.
  • Controlling the release of incoming materials and non-conforming materials discovered after release.
  • Leading in the deployment of part inspections on CMM and performing advanced CMM programming.
  • Assisting in delegating tasks to IQC employees as required. Maintaining inspection records. Developing Development Inspection Metrics.
  • Leading daily MDI and 5S activities. Participating in continuous improvement programs and kaizens. Also, participating in design reviews as required. Demonstrating attention to detail.
  • Monitoring calibration equipment; ensuring all applicable FDA, IVDD, and ISO regulations and standards are being used in processes.
Who You Are

Required

  • You have an Associate's Degree in a technical field. ASQ or equivalent Certified Technician
  • You have 3 years of experience in precision mechanical and/or electrical components inspection. Familiarity with the inspection of electrical wires and cable assemblies.
  • You have familiarity with Quality Systems, including ISO and are experienced with standard measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gage blocks, optical comparators, and Coordinate Measuring Machine
  • You have GD&T experience.

Behaviors, competencies, and qualities of the ideal applicant

  • Skill and experience interfacing with Business Enterprise System such as Oracle. Ability to do CMM programming.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret drawings and schematics, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Application and understanding of mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical
  • Interprets and works under the Ventana quality system QPs and manufacturing OPs on this position.
  • Skill in using Excel Spreadsheets, Google Suite, Word processing, E-mail, and Measuring equipment software.

The expected salary range for this position based on Tucson is $52,240 - $70,000 annually. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
