Mountain West Bank is looking for a skilled and motivated Relationship Manager III for our Coeur d'Alene location. The Relatioship Manager is position is perfect for someone who likes variety, is detail oriented with a technical capacity and enjoys interacting with the community. The Relationship Manager will be responsible for originating commercial loans and will manage a loan portfolio with the overall objective of growing the portfolio and maintaining asset quality. Will be responsible for business development of new relationships and managing and growing a commercial loan portfolio. Ability to coach and mentor team members.

This is a full time, salaried position with Medical, Dental and Vision benefits, a generous PTO (paid time off) package as well as excellent retirement & 401(k) benefits. Must adheer to MWB's culture and maintain regular and predictable attendace. Rate of pay depends on experience, minimum salary of $80,665.00 +

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Independently takes applications for commercial loans, review customer financial information, make credit decisions within lending approval authority, accurately complete credit authorizations, present loans for credit approval, direct completion of loan documents, review loan documents, close loans.
  • Proactively markets products offered by the Bank including consumer loans, residential real estate loans, deposit accounts and treasury management products. Call on prospective clients to develop new banking relationships. Call on existing clients to maintain relationship and seek additional opportunities.
  • Responsible for assigned loan portfolio to maintain asset quality; periodically review and recommend risk rating adjustments as necessary; obtain and review relevant financial information for covenant compliance.
  • Responsible for independently managing complex business relationships.
  • Maintains extensive knowledge of lending policies, procedures and practices of the bank.
  • Coaches and trains other team members as needed. Provides leadership within the department, bank and community.
  • Process loan renewals and annual review of credit relationships in a timely manner.
  • Assist with collection of past due loans and maintain loan delinquencies within established targets.
  • Actively participates in Bank related and community volunteer events as well as business development related activities.
  • Anticipate customer needs, respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner, and ensure an excellent experience for the customer.
  • Maintain service level expectations as defined by the bank.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
  • Actively participates in Bank related and community volunteer events as well as business development related activities.
  • Comply with Bank policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

About You

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or related field or a combination of related experience
  • 10 years of commercial banking experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written to maintain a heavy volume of correspondence, personal contact, and telephone communication.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Ability to multi-task and handle complex tasks efficiently. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service skills

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Jack Henry knowledge/experience

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level.

Physical Requirements

Is able to bend, sit, and stand in order to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.

Working Conditions

Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.

Mental and/or Emotional Requirements

Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to complete basic mathematical calculations, spell accurately, and understand computer basics. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
