    Position Summary:

    The GSK Production System (GPS) has been deployed across Global Supply Chain (GSC), to drive common standards and best practices to achieve our goal of Zero accidents, Zero defects and Zero waste, and drive business performance improvements. The GPS is the continuous improvement system to enable GSC to reach a sustainable high level of performance towards this goal. Successful deployment and continuous improvement of GPS is a critical part of the GSC Strategy.

    The Site GPS Practitioner role exists to deploy and embed the GPS standards across the Site to deliver the Business Strategy, improve Business Performance (Quality, Safety, Service, Cost, and Innovation) and drive the Continuous Improvement (CI) culture across all tiers of the organization.

    As a key member of the Site team (line report to the Site GPS & Strategy Lead), the Site GPS Practitioner is accountable for:

    Partnering with leaders to build the Site's Continous Improvement culture and GPS capability of all Site personnel, by implementing day to day continuous improvement activities as a standard way of working. Helping ensure the day to day continuous improvement activities result in a continuous improvement in the Site Performance towards the goal of Zero Accidents, Zero Defects and Zero Waste. Conducting self-assessment of the Site vs. the GPS Maturity matrices and supporting the site to close any gaps.

    Coaching / training the Site in GPS and CI.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Implement GPS program deployment according to GSK standards and as aligned with the global OneGPS roadmap for the assigned value streams.
    • Role model GPS skills and lean leadership behaviors and be a subject matter expert in GPS and Lean Six Sigma. Establish and lead the site continuous improvement projects aligned to the OneGPS standards.
    • Lead day to day deployment of the GPS standards as well as all related improvement activities at site level (business impact on safety, quality, cost, and people). Must be an active participant in Process Performance Management of assigned value stream.
    • Support SLT in the identification of financial and non-financial benefits associated with GPS implementation.
    • Teach, train, mentor, coach at all site levels in GPS and Lean methodologies. Must be active in problem solving and Gemba daily. Drive and develop the capability of staff at all levels to lead and own their CI plans.
    • Mentor and coach junior members of the team on GPS standards, CI, project and change management methodologies.
    • Facilitate problem solving, Accelerators, Kaizen Events, and DMAIC workshops.
    • Facilitate project team meetings to oversee the planning and execution of project activities to ensure alignment with the expectations and timelines.
    • Partner proactively with team members to identify risks, gaps, and resource bottlenecks and then develop and implement mitigation plans.
    • Measure project performance versus plan and milestones using appropriate systems, tools and techniques including but not limited to dashboards, metrics. Effectively communicate the status and risks ensuring internal stakeholder accountability and awareness.
    • Perform other responsibilities as required.

    Qualifications/Skills:

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and influence stakeholders.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, science, or business).

    • 7+ years manufacturing environment with a track record of delivering improvement initiatives and culture change.

    • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean bronze level

    • Ability to lead change management initiatives and complex projects.

    • Problem-solving skills and ability to analyze and address challenges collaboratively.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master Black Belt certification or advanced Lean/Six Sigma training.

    • Experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing.

    • Familiarity with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).

    • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and drive results across diverse teams.

    • Proficiency in digital tools and data analytics to support process improvement.

    • Held positions in a manufacturing environment, covering a broad range of activities and operations (e.g. Production, Engineering, Quality Assurance/Logistics / Safety) preferred.

    • Problem solving in the context of site goals

    • People change management concepts and practice

    • Training Skills

    • Coaching Skills

    • Project planning and execution management

    • Relationship management

    • Well versed in MS applications. Basic understanding and use of AI.

    GSK's Zebulon site is a global supplier of Respiratory and Solid Dose medicines to patients around the globe and the largest GSK Pharmaceutical secondary manufacturing site in North America. The site is located less than 30 minutes from downtown Raleigh, Wendell, Knightdale, Rocky Mount, Wilson, and Wake Forest.

    Work Environment:
    This role is based in the United States and may require occasional travel. It is primarily on-site, with opportunities for hybrid work depending on business needs.
