The Opportunity
The Director, Regional Agri Sourcing & Sharing has accountability for fostering relationships and removing obstacles, through solution-building, that supports the network to grow agri pounds (fresh produce, protein, and dairy) distributed, equitably and at an optimized cost. In alignment with other member services, provide agri-business consultation and thought leadership for the regional food sharing models including regional cooperatives, partner state associations (PSAs), and partner food banks with protein pack rooms with the purpose of supporting network agri strategy objectives. Steward strategic projects and co-create deliverables such as project plans, progress reports and other outputs with key members and other Feeding America (FA) stakeholders.
This position is fully remote with frequent (between 20 and 30%) travel required.
Compensation

Here at Feeding America national organization, equality is central to our mission and is an integral part of our compensation policies and structures. As such, we maintain transparent salary ranges and clearly defined practices for how our team, including new hire salary offers, moves through these ranges. You can expect us to offer the best salary up front based on these clearly defined pay practices with little room for negotiation. We make exceptions for highly experienced (multiple years of at-level experience) new hires in accordance with our pay practices. Once hired, employees have the opportunity to progress through salary ranges via regular merit increases and step promotions.

Salary Range: $114,000 - $119,000 Based on Experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategy to grow availability and access to donations of agricultural products in support of Feeding America's network. Monitor, measure and drive success of strategic project execution.
  • Manage projects, processes, and relationships with network partners in support of growing agri pounds and maximizing regional sourcing and sharing in a way that is equitably distributed at an optimized cost.
  • Aid Feeding America National Organization (FANO) Development and Member Grants teams in the creation, development, and execution of grants to ensure that FANO is meeting donor requirements and distributing grants in a way that is consistent with our goals and values.
  • Plan and facilitate high-level engagement meetings with industry and network partners to better understand regional sourcing and sharing and supply chain considerations.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on agri food sourcing both internally to FA national office (including support for fundraising activities) and externally for the FA network.
  • Lead a team that works with the network to build regional sourcing and sharing strategies, solve complex problems, identify challenges, and offer solutions for agri food sourcing and distribution at a regional or national level.
  • Communicate with external stakeholders to support the development of regional food sharing business plans and collaboration models that are clearly documented. Monitor and make recommendations for enhancements as needed.
  • Collaborate with FANO Network Department and other Supply Chain teams to understand the roles of those teams and opportunities to partner to support network members and regional sourcing and sharing activities.
  • Engage in FANO committees and projects that enhance the organizational mission.
    Required Experience and Qualifications:
    • Minimum 7 years of functional and business experience in multi-stakeholder environment; or equivalent experience in supply chain, relationship management, consulting or customer service role or equivalent complexity. Agri-business (produce, protein and/or dairy), food bank or other relevant work experience required.
    • Minimum of 5 years leading programs and projects with experience in being proactive and complex problem-solving.
    • Proven experience managing direct reports or leading a team.
    • Strong networking and relationship management skills.
    • Demonstrated excellence in developing business plans and concepts - written, analytical and visual.
    • Adept at using technology and remote collaboration methods for success.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft including Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Technical competency in Webex, Salesforce and Tableau also preferred.
