The Senior Product Development Analyst is responsible for supporting the creation and enhancement of innovative insurance products and services for Commercial Lines primarily BOP, CPP and Umbrella. This will be a supporting role in the design and development of our new product by analyzing current customer behaviors/experiences, contributing to key decisions, and partnering with IT to get solutions implemented. You will report to a senior manager, product.

In this hybrid role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from the office. Candidates should reside within approximately 35-50 miles of one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783; Boston, MA 02110.

Position Compensation Range:

$86,000.00 - $142,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Provide support in the development and implementation of innovative products and services, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Primarily supporting Commercial Lines BOP, CPP and Umbrella
  • Support in the design and development of our new product by analyzing current customer behavior, contributing to key decisions
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis to assist in the development of new product concepts and improve existing offerings
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, pricing/actuarial, claims, and compliance, to ensure product viability and adherence to regulations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in product development, providing insights and recommendations to optimize product offerings from both a technical and product standpoint
  • Perform competitive analysis to assess market position and identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor actions, advising leadership on strategic adjustments to enhance competitive advantage.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
  • Demonstrated experience performing complex financial, actuarial or business analysis.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of customer, business industry, insurance, underwriting guidelines and risk concepts in area of expertise.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills to review complex products, and/or lines of business.
  • Demonstrated experience making independent decisions.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management methodologies, practices, techniques and tools.

Additional Specialized Knowledge & Skills

  • Proven experience in product development & IT implementation
  • Strong Technical skills working within the Agile framework and Enterprise systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of insurance industry practices, underwriting guidelines, and risk management.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and solve complex problems

  • Up to 10%.
