Overview
The Center for Anticipatory Intelligence (CAI) Program Assistant SR will collaborate with the Center's Director, Associate Director, and Program Coordinator III in the administrative, operational, and communication tasks associated with managing the Center's academic programming and development. The primary responsibilities of the Program Assistant SR will focus on the student experience in our programming, including recruiting students to CAI programs, providing steering through the undergraduate and graduate degree programs, mentoring, helping to facilitate internship and job opportunities, and managing course-related logistics. This role is integral to ensuring the success of CAI's academic initiatives and student success.

Responsibilities
Assist undergraduate and graduate students entering Anticipatory Intelligence degree programs in person, by phone, and by email and take the lead in ensuring student progress toward degree completion.
Relay accurate information related to curriculum, graduation requirements, and university policies and procedures.
Serve as the Graduate Program Coordinator, ensuring graduate student success, sound record keeping, and staying up-to-date with university policy changes.
Coordinate with the School of Graduate Studies for graduate admissions, degree progress, and graduation.
Represent CAI at Graduate School GPC meetings and coordinate relevant policy updates with CAI leadership.
Coordinate with university advisors and GPCs within the college and across campus (to learn programs, gain familiarity, and improve recruitment).
Make students aware of internal scholarship or other funding opportunities.
Oversee graduation-related activities and communications (Stole Ceremony, graduation checks, degree confirmations, medallions, etc).
Assist CAI Program Coordinator in the design and implementation of recruitment eorts for all Anticipatory Intelligence degree programs and act as a point of contact for the Center.
Engage in off-campus recruiting as necessary.
Initiate new curriculog proposals and provide curriculum updates as necessary.
Manage annual CAI course oerings and communications to CAI students.
Provide information and strategies to utilize available campus resources and services.
Support Associate Director in the administration and tracking of graduate capstone projects, including initiating capstone discussions with students, coordinating with potential faculty advisors and external capstone partners, and overseeing student capstone completion timelines.
Maintain records and documentation of advising interactions.
Collects and analyzes student enrollment, graduation, and placement data to assist the Program Coordinator III in reporting and improving advising practices to advance student outcomes.
Attend recruitment events and other program activities.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Six years of experience; or an associate degree/technical training plus four years of experience; or a bachelor's degree plus two years of experience is required.

Familiarity with or interest in anticipatory intelligence program offerings

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Ability to work with students in 1:1 or group advising settings.
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage productively with a wide range of student personalities.
Highly responsive and to student communications and requests. Ability to follow through with slow or non-responsive advisees.
Ability to learn and maintain current knowledge of complex program requirements, policies, and procedures.
Ability to navigate complex bureaucratic processes, initiate and follow through on contacts, and build relationships across campus to ensure timely completion of administrative tasks at the university level.
Ability to manage, process, and analyze student data to extract trends and coordinate program improvements.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Professional communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to make administrative & procedural decisions and judgments.
Ability to collaborate eectively as team member.
Ability to develop and/or deliver programs.
Familiarity or ability to quickly learn DegreeWorks and Banner and other technology platforms
