Job Description Summary

Credit & Collections Supervisor

Sunbelt Rentals--the fastest growing rental business in North America--is seeking a Credit & Collections Supervisor. As a Credit & Collections Supervisor, you will lead collections employees in collecting revenues generated from the customers within their assigned area and ensuring compliance with Sunbelt's policies and procedures. You will also ensure the escalation of issues to Credit & Collections leadership for handling.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for day-to-day direction of the collection team; provide training to team members; monitor work expectations of collectors through regular checks; guide collectors on alternative/creative methods of collecting
Facilitates the flow of communication with the Field Support Team and across other teams as necessary
Handles at-risk and escalated accounts
Able to identify risk accounts and collection status through account reviews and escalate as necessary
Answers incoming customer calls
Makes lien notice recommendations to Team Leader, Field Collections Support
Participates in monthly calls to inform department of at-risk accounts
Supports Collections team as backup by cross training on multiple functions
Supports Credit Supervisor in monthly update meetings
Performs other duties as assigned by Credit Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:
3-5 years collection experience, preferably in business to business collections
Previous experience with a complex regional or national company with multiple locations
Knowledge of the general credit process and analysis of accounts-at-risk
Extensive knowledge of fair debt and collection management; strong knowledge of state commercial laws and knowledge of legal lending methods
Experience guiding large teams (10+ employees) on a day-to-day basis
Commitment to excellent customer service; professional phone etiquette
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with all functions of the organization (specifically Sales)
Ability to handle dispute resolution, including irate/dissatisfied customers
Experience with Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet application
Comfortable working with and influencing senior management
Developed negotiation skills

Preferred Qualifications:
Equipment rental industry experience preferred
Relevant credit and collections certification
Previous experience with lien process

Base Pay Range: $55,200.00 - 75,900.00

You will become eligible for benefits on the first of the month following 30 days from your start date. Sunbelt offers team members the following paid time off from work, subject to Sunbelt's policies (unless specified in a collective bargaining agreement):
