Job Title: Senior Construction Inspector

Location: Philadelphia PA 19107

Duration: 9 months

Hours/Week: 40 hours a week

Shift time: Based on worksite schedule (Contractor intends to work M-F approx. 6am-2/3pm)

Pay Rate: $36.75/hr. on W2 without benefits.

Job Description:

• Equipment Used - Normal office equipment including PCs and related accessories.
• Computer Software Used - Microsoft Office Suite and job specific applications, INFOR

Roles And Responsibilities:

• On-site construction inspection for Island Avenue Reconstruction.
• Review and understanding of project plans, specifications, MPT, and schedule.
• Verify concrete tickets, product delivery sheets, MSDS, and other contractor provided data conform to project documents.
• Maintain Septa Transit Safety Training and appropriate PPE. Observe contractor work, submit daily inspection report, communicate deviations from project documents to Septa PM and contractor upon detection. Identify any work, site conditions, or method of operation inconsistent with Septa plans or standard of service.
• Attend meetings as requested.

Required Experience:

• Experience of daily inspection work on construction sites.
• Experience reading plans and specifications.
• Experience reviewing submittals or product data for conformance with project documents.
• OSHA or other site safety training a plus.
• Ability to verify rebar placement and concrete quality.
• Reliable attendance and prompt submission of daily report a must.
• Ability to professionally communicate nonconformance items directly with contractor and onsite workers upon detection and insist on correction.
• Degree or appropriate experience in construction management or engineering. Residential engineer experience a plus.

• Septa Transit Safety Training Required (May be required to complete prior to assignment start).
