POSITION DESCRIPTION I. Position:Marketing and Fund Development Director II. Status: Full time, Salaried III. Reports to:President / Chief Executive Officer IV. Position Expected Hours of Work: This is a Full-Time, Salaried position. At minimum, days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. However, there may be some variability in the weekly schedule due to agency need. Occasional evenings and weekends. Staff is expected to be able to work in the office, remotely, or a hybrid of both, during regular business hours. V. Essential Functions of the Position:
- Managing, supervising and directing all staff or volunteers in the
marketing department. - Overseeing the planning, development and execution of the
organization's marketing, strategic partnership, communications, social media platforms, and advertising initiatives. - Managing the organizations brand including establishing marketing,
social media, photo, and media policies. - Creating templates for various materials (fliers, letterhead,
etc...), to ensure consistent "look and feel" of agency brand. - Ensuring the agency's brand and marketing in the community, is
current and up-to-date. - Managing special events by developing and distributing promotional
materials, soliciting support of the events, pursuing volunteers to assist with events, seeking media partners to promote the events, overseeing the organization's involvement on events implemented by others for which the organization serves as the beneficiary, and ensuring quality experiences for attendees and partners. - Develop, direct, and coordinate the agency's fund raising
programs, to include the annual giving, special gifts, planned giving, memorial and tribute, foundation and corporate contributions. - Direct the production of annual fundraising events and appeals.
Oversight of fund development/marketing events, including promotion, planning, and implementation. - Utilize management database to plan, implement, and evaluate
specific fund development programs and campaigns; ensuring effective management, review and analysis of donor statistics and information is reported. - Driving revenue growth by leveraging market research, marketing
communications, and advertising. - Serving as the primary contact with marketing consultants to
expand the organization's awareness. - Supporting, and collaborating with colleagues on the Executive
Management to increase awareness of programs and operations throughout the agency. - Building and strengthening media partnerships to amplify the
organization's mission and connect with a broader audience. - Seeking recognizable individuals with disabilities from a variety
of fields, such as entertainment, writing, music and sports, to promote the organization, help heighten awareness, and leverage their renown to engage and inspire the public to take action to benefit the organization. - Contributing to the achievement of the agency's strategic plan.
- Speak on behalf of and provide representation of IF at a variety
of events. - Proactively advocate for the rights and involvement of individuals
with disabilities; provide advocacy and support for the Independent Living Philosophy. - As a member of the agency's executive management team, will attend
fundraising and other special events. - Others as assigned.

Experience and Skills:
VII. Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field and a minimum of five years of
experience in non-profit fundraising and development, preferably with significant foundation and high donor fundraising experience. - Must have strong teamwork skills with demonstrated abilities in
the areas of leadership, collaboration and good communication. - Considerable knowledge about disabilities, ability to be highly
sensitive to the social, psychological and emotional needs of persons with disabilities. - Strong leadership, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to
manage tasks independently. - Demonstrated computer and software skills required.
- Ability to travel as job necessitates.
- Acceptance and support of consumer directed and consumer
controlled services. - Must present self in a professional manner at all times.
