Charlotte, NC (Hybrid) | U.S. Based Only | 3-Year W2 Contract | Full-Time

We're hiring a Project Manager I (PM-I) to oversee a portfolio of low to moderate-risk infrastructure projects, supporting all phases from planning to execution. You'll serve as a central leader across functional teams-ensuring delivery on scope, schedule, cost, and compliance while maintaining strong cross-team coordination.

This long-term, 3-year W2 contract role is based in Charlotte, NC and requires a hybrid work setup (must be within commuting distance).

  Own or assist with the full lifecycle of assigned projects (typically White or Green-level risk), including scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality, communication, and integration

  Collaborate with internal and external teams, including senior leadership and regulatory bodies

  Drive decision-making, coordination, and execution in line with company policies and procedures

  Manage project risks, documentation, status reporting, and communication

  Utilize and refine project controls like scheduling, cost management, and reporting tools

  Serve as a unifying agent across functions and contractors to ensure project alignment and successful delivery

  3-5+ years of project management experience (utility or energy industry preferred)

  
  
• 
  

  Solid working knowledge of project management principles, risk mitigation, and critical thinking

  
  
• 
  

  Familiar with construction management, cost control, and scheduling tools

  
  
• 
  

  Strong leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills

  
  
• 
  

  Comfortable managing multiple projects with different risk profiles

  
  
• 
  

  Utility or energy project experience highly preferred

  
  

• 
  

  PMP or CAPM certification

  
  
• 
  

  Engineering degree or experience in technical project oversight

  
  
• 
  

  CMII certification or other relevant utility industry training

  
  
• 
  

  Familiarity with Duke Energy project systems and protocols (a plus)

The pay for this W-2 position ranges from $61.17- $63.28 per hour. This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements.
