Boys Town is seeking an individual to fill the role of Assistant Security Systems Specialist. This role is responsible for managing and maintaining the Boys Town physical safety and security systems, including surveillance systems, automated security systems, employee ID systems, access control systems and report writing system. It will also involve configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting issues related to physical security systems. We are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills and the ability work across the enterprise with other departments. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: Day to day maintenance of the Boys Town physical safety and security systems.
  • Works under the direction of the Security Systems Specialist to provide on-going support for security systems.
  • Monitors the integrity and overall health of security systems.
  • Identifies and resolves issues to maintain functionality of the systems.
  • Resolves employee security badge and video cameras issues using the security team's ticketing system.
  • Runs security reports, issues security badge and assists with system audits.
  • Follows all of the procedures and guidelines for the security team to ensure that all employee access, burglary, robbery, alarm and video surveillance-related systems and protocols are being followed properly.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • High level of professionalism and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to promote and maintain excellent public relations with patients, visitors and all employees and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to quickly assess situations and respond appropriately.
  • Administrative and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and multi-task while maintaining quality standards.
  • Ability to detect, respond, and report all unsafe conditions accordingly, as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Other Duties: This job description incorporates the essential functions and duties required for this position. However, other duties may be required and assigned at times and as determined by a supervisor in order to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Serves as a role model in carrying out activities and behaviors that reflect the values and principles of the Boys Town mission.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, EQUIPMENT USAGE, WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Position is relatively sedentary in a normal office administrative environment involving minimum exposure to physical risks. Will use office equipment such as a computer/laptop, monitor, keyboard, and a general workstation set-up.
