Responsibilities

Sabre Systems is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Data Analyst / V-22 Pilot SME to support the development, evaluation, and improvement of aviation training systems. The ideal candidate is a current or former V-22 pilot (preferably a Major or LtCol) with deep expertise in Marine Corps aviation training standards and a strong foundation in data analysis.

This role bridges the gap between operational aviation knowledge and advanced data analytics to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of training programs across the fleet.

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on V-22 flight operations, training, and T&R (Training & Readiness) standards.
  • Collect, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within aviation training performance.
  • Assist warfighters and stakeholders in identifying and correcting training system deficiencies.
  • Provide technical flight training insights into Aviation T&R requirements, performance standards, and aircrew training forms.
  • Generate custom and canned reports (reactive, prescriptive, proactive, and training venue support), including Squadron Monthly Reports and Instructional System Design (ISD) analyses.
  • Apply statistical methods, data visualization, and analytics tools such as JMP and SQL to develop actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Evaluate proposed changes to the T&R Manual and training system components; provide data-driven assessments of their impact.
  • Support updates and improvements to the ITS Web Tool, including performance area logic, metadata tagging, and content integration.
  • Collaborate with software engineers for database maintenance, updates, and enhancements aligned with training system evolution.
  • Assist in metadata tagging, structuring of information assets, and integration of new curriculum data.
  • Facilitate the design and implementation of cross-database reporting capabilities.
  • Liaise with Web Tool Technical Advisors and Liaison Support Managers to ensure optimal tool performance and interoperability.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Former or current V-22 Pilot, preferably with the rank of Major or LtCol
  • Deep understanding of Marine Corps Aviation Training & Readiness (T&R) standards and pilot training programs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using JMP or similar statistical tools, and proficiency in SQL
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and clearly communicate findings to stakeholders
  • Familiarity with aviation training systems, databases, and performance metrics

Preferred:

  • Resident of Jacksonville, NC or surrounding areas
  • Experience with Instructional Systems Design (ISD) or training evaluation

Background in managing or contributing to training system improvements or evaluations


Compensation

SME Level: At Sabre Systems, LLC, compensation is based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, and contract-specific requirements. The general salary range for this position is $100,000-$300,000; however, final compensation will be determined by individual qualifications and applicable contract terms.
