Educational Psychology Department is seeking a candidate to teach one graduate level Educational Psychology course during the fall semester only. These courses are part of the Master's in Learning Analytics graduate program in the Department of Educational Psychology in the School of Education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Position is a part-time position with a 20% - 25% FTE. Position may fluctuate depending on instructional need within the department. This course is typically taught during the fall semester. Position is dependent on need, funding programming and performance.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Provides classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction, including grading
  • Develops teaching techniques that enhance course effectiveness in alignment with desired outcomes and established strategy
  • Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction.
  • Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations.
Department: Educational Psychology Compensation:

$60,000 minimum based on FTE percentage and commensurate with qualifications and experience

Required Qualifications:

1. Current knowledge and background in the relevant discipline
2. Prior teaching experience
3. Ability to respond to the needs of learners from a variety of educational backgrounds and learning styles
4. Ability to use technology effectively
5. Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team
6. Excellent written communication skills
7. Good organizational skills and timeliness in responding to student inquiries

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience in using Canvas learning management system
2. Understanding of technological trends and integrating high-quality instruction across multiple modalities within an online environment.

Education:

PhD required in educational psychology or related field
