We're looking for a results-driven Sales Representative with excellent interpersonal skills to actively seek out and engage customer prospects. Territory- Tennessee & Kentucky, full states.

Overview

Eastcom is a sales and distribution company, a subsidiary of Core & Main, and provides utility companies and contractors with test equipment to locate, map, inspect, and troubleshoot underground utilities. We are the regional site for Core & Main (a national distribution company), operating in New Jersey, this office covers the area from Georgia to Maine, in the U.S.

Job Description

Provide product sales, hands-on demonstrations, product application training, and ongoing support to a mature customer base of utility companies and utility contractors to increase market share and expand the customer base in the area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers

  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships

  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction

  • Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments

  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.

  • Continuously improve through feedback

Preferably, YOU have:

  • Proven work experience as a Sales Representative with a proven track record - (2-3 years)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Self-starter with the ability to manage their own schedule

  • Prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills

  • Travel to visit with customers. Occasional overnights will be necessary

  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience's needs

  • Support co-workers as needed

  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback

  • MS Office literacy

  • Ability to provide equipment demonstrations

  • Forecast sales opportunities in a structured and efficient manner

  • Preference given to candidates that have experience in utility damage prevention industry

Remote - must be based in Downstate New York, Hudson Valley, New York City, or Long Island.

Pay: Base of $85,000-90,000 per year plus commission.
