"The Story with Martha MacCallum" is seeking a skilled, experienced and hardworking Producer to join the team. The ideal candidate is detail oriented and knack for following the facts. You are a superb writer & excellent under pressure. As a Producer on The Story, you will be responsible for executing the show lead, writing live scripts during breaking news and conducting in-depth research. The Producer will serve as a backup to the Line Producer and Senior Producer, on occasion.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Pitch guests, stories and segment ideas

  • Write guest intros, anchor questions and teases

  • Select elements such as sound, video clips, and graphics to tell a story

  • Build thorough and constantly evolving research packets

  • Monitor multiple sources for new developments on your segment

  • Build compelling and concise lower thirds throughout the hour

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 4+ years of professional experience in a live television control room

  • Strong and accurate writing

  • Line producing training

  • Thorough knowledge of current events and politics

  • Experience crafting a rundown

  • Experience writing/producing/editing news packages

  • Dalet training

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $83,000.00-116,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
