Position Summary:
Under the guidance of
the Director of Admission and Recruitment Marketing, the Assistant Director of Visit Experience plays a strategic role and works as part of a team to enable
the Office of University Admissions to meet its enrollment goals by actively
planning and participating in on-campus and virtual recruitment activities,
communication, and marketing to prospective and admitted undergraduate and
graduate students. The incumbent is responsible for planning, coordinating, and
continuously improving the visit experience of all guests of the Office of
University Admissions, coordinating the daily activities of the student
ambassador team, planning and executing daily campus tours and information
sessions, and assisting with recruitment events. This position requires evening
and weekend hours as needed to participate in recruitment activities.

Essential Functions:
-Plan, coordinate, and execute on-campus and virtual
visits, including weekday and weekend campus tours and information sessions,
special visitation programs, and other virtual and on-campus events, and update
the NJIT community in relation to these events.
-Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate programs,
special projects, events, and other recruitment initiatives geared to
recruiting students through a positive visit experience.
-Oversee the student ambassador team; assign and ensure
the completion of their daily tasks.
-Hire, onboard, train, and develop the student
ambassador team.
-Serve as point of contact for student ambassador
duties, assignments, and events.
-Analyze recruitment data and visitor feedback to
implement program improvements, staffing decisions and marketing strategies.
-Create and assess high-impact, student-centered visit
experiences that enhance NJIT's competitiveness in the admissions marketplace.
-Conduct one-on-one meetings, small and large group
presentations, and virtual appointments and information sessions with students
and other constituents.
-Optimize the visit experience of all guests to the
Office of University Admissions by assisting visitors, coordinating the
front-desk activities, and providing high level of customer service.
-Respond to walk-ins, tours, e-mail, and phone
inquiries.
-Work with the Director, professional staff, and
student ambassadors to coordinate social
media posts.
-Regularly run queries and reports to respond to the
recruitment and enrollment needs of the University as identified by the
Director.

Additional Functions:
-Track customer satisfaction of the students
participating in visits and events.
-Maintain office procedure manuals.
-Represent the university at off-campus recruitment
events as needed.
-Other duties as assigned by the Director.

Prerequisite Qualifications:
-Bachelor's
degree required.
-Minimum of 2-4 years of progressive experience in
higher education admissions, recruitment, or student engagement.
-Strong public speaking, relationship-building and
written communication skills.
-Demonstrated ability to manage complex programs, lead
student teams and help execute strategic initiatives.
-Proficiency in CRM systems (preferably Slate) and
Microsoft Office Suite.
-Valid driver's license and access to reliable
transportation.
-Available to work weekends and evenings as needed to
participate in recruitment activities.
-At
the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be
excepted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the
university an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically
preparing the candidate for success in the position.

Salary Information:
In compliance with the NJ Pay Transparency Law, the negotiated annual salary range for this position is $63,129.05-$107,893.56 (USD). NJIT considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses or other items.
