JOB TITLE:
Supply Clerk
DEPARTMENT: Operations Support
REPORTS TO: Support Services Supervisor
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY: This position maintains supply inventory and related parts for the Operation. This position also assists in maintaining the organization and orderliness of materials, equipment, facilities, and grounds.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/FUNCTIONS:

  • Identifies inventory needs: materials, supplies, medical equipment, and medicine.
  • Updates inventory as materials, supplies, medical equipment, and/or medicine items are added or deleted.
  • Takes supply requests, package orders, and prepares materials for transport of requested items to various facilities throughout the coverage area.
  • Prepares, issues, and receives medicine to and from ambulance team members.
  • Assists in initiating orders to replenish supply inventory utilizing established guidelines and procedures.
  • Contacts vendors to obtain price quotes, comparative analysis, and to place orders.
  • Receives, unpacks, and stores general or specialized goods and supplies.
  • Ensures security of supplies, equipment, or materials.
  • Assigns inventory/stock numbers and location to new stock.
  • Distributes and issues uniforms, supplies, materials, and/or equipment based on incoming requests and orders.
  • Makes minor repairs to equipment to ensure proper working order prior to use or transfer.
  • Assists in cleaning and washing vehicles, equipment, facilities, and/or property, including grounds keeping and minor custodial duties.
  • Monitors the operation and usage of battery charging system in support of necessary equipment and/or related items.
  • Monitors oxygen supply, ensuring tanks are processed and refilled.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid state drivers' license.
  • Current version of NIMS IS-100 and IS-700 training.
  • EVOC Certification preferred.
  • EMT license preferred.
  • Experience in a retail store, warehouse, or inventory control function preferred.
