We are currently hiring a Maintenance Technician II Location: Hoya Vision Care, 7000 Sunwood Dr NW, Ramsey MN 55303 Hourly Rate: $30.00/hour + 25% Shift Differential Schedule: Thursday-Saturday from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and Sunday from 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM. We're looking for a skilled Manufacturing Maintenance Technician II to join our growing team and help keep our state-of-the-art production equipment running at its best. What you'll do: Monitor and evaluate production equipment and processes to identify and resolve issues. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair advanced manufacturing equipment across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and PLC systems using diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters, software interfaces). Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and calibrations with a focus on uptime, quality, and reliability. Collaborate with production and engineering teams on equipment status and support continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with technicians to solve complex problems, taking technical lead in specific areas as needed. Consistently uphold professionalism and safety standards Document work performed in our CMMS accurately and completely. Perform other duties as assigned, including supporting Facility Maintenance as needed. Follow all safety and LOTO procedures, and wear required PPE (e.g., safety glasses). Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and scissor lifts. Use basic hand and power tools. All other duties as assigned Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, associate degree or one year certification from college or technical school preferred Three years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified; or equivalent combination of education and experience. One year of Lab experience helpful Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities Troubleshooting, repair and maintenance techniques and practices Ability to work with Computer/Electrical Controlled equipment Knowledge of planning and scheduling techniques Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Ability to read technical documents and manuals and extract information for required repairs of equipment Ability to maintain quality and safety standards Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form Respond to emergencies as required; coordinate activities with other responders; identify and coordinate resources to effectively repair and ensure the safety of the facility Knowledge of safety equipment and practices related to the work, including the handling of hazardous chemicals and lock-out/tag-out procedures Able and willing to work as a team Must be able to work Overtime, Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays as needed Must be able to maintain work area clean and tools organized Work without supervision
