We are currently hiring a Maintenance Technician II Location: Hoya Vision Care, 7000 Sunwood Dr NW, Ramsey MN 55303 Hourly Rate: $30.00/hour + 25% Shift Differential Schedule: Thursday-Saturday from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and Sunday from 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM. What you'll do:
- Monitor and evaluate production equipment and processes to identify and resolve issues.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair advanced manufacturing equipment across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and PLC systems using diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters, software interfaces).
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and calibrations with a focus on uptime, quality, and reliability.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams on equipment status and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with technicians to solve complex problems, taking technical lead in specific areas as needed.
- Consistently uphold professionalism and safety standards
- Document work performed in our CMMS accurately and completely.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including supporting Facility Maintenance as needed.
- Follow all safety and LOTO procedures, and wear required PPE (e.g., safety glasses).
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and scissor lifts.
- Use basic hand and power tools.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, associate degree or one year certification from college or technical school preferred
- Three years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One year of Lab experience helpful
- Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities
- Troubleshooting, repair and maintenance techniques and practices
- Ability to work with Computer/Electrical Controlled equipment
- Knowledge of planning and scheduling techniques
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to read technical documents and manuals and extract information for required repairs of equipment
- Ability to maintain quality and safety standards
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
- Respond to emergencies as required; coordinate activities with other responders; identify and coordinate resources to effectively repair and ensure the safety of the facility
- Knowledge of safety equipment and practices related to the work, including the handling of hazardous chemicals and lock-out/tag-out procedures
- Able and willing to work as a team
- Must be able to work Overtime, Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays as needed
- Must be able to maintain work area clean and tools organized
- Work without supervision
