We are currently hiring a Maintenance Technician II

Location: Hoya Vision Care, 7000 Sunwood Dr NW, Ramsey MN 55303

Hourly Rate: $30.00/hour + 25% Shift Differential

Schedule: Thursday-Saturday from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and Sunday from 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM.

We're looking for a skilled Manufacturing Maintenance Technician II to join our growing team and help keep our state-of-the-art production equipment running at its best. What you'll do:

  • Monitor and evaluate production equipment and processes to identify and resolve issues.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair advanced manufacturing equipment across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and PLC systems using diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters, software interfaces).
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and calibrations with a focus on uptime, quality, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams on equipment status and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with technicians to solve complex problems, taking technical lead in specific areas as needed.
  • Consistently uphold professionalism and safety standards
  • Document work performed in our CMMS accurately and completely.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including supporting Facility Maintenance as needed.
  • Follow all safety and LOTO procedures, and wear required PPE (e.g., safety glasses).
  • Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and scissor lifts.
  • Use basic hand and power tools.
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, associate degree or one year certification from college or technical school preferred
  • Three years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One year of Lab experience helpful
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities
  • Troubleshooting, repair and maintenance techniques and practices
  • Ability to work with Computer/Electrical Controlled equipment
  • Knowledge of planning and scheduling techniques
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to read technical documents and manuals and extract information for required repairs of equipment
  • Ability to maintain quality and safety standards
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
  • Respond to emergencies as required; coordinate activities with other responders; identify and coordinate resources to effectively repair and ensure the safety of the facility
  • Knowledge of safety equipment and practices related to the work, including the handling of hazardous chemicals and lock-out/tag-out procedures
  • Able and willing to work as a team
  • Must be able to work Overtime, Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays as needed
  • Must be able to maintain work area clean and tools organized
  • Work without supervision
