DRC is one of the largest educational assessment and curriculum/instruction companies in the industry.

Summary:


This position is responsible for researching and analyzing data to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitors' activities and offerings Analyst will provide actionable insights used to allow DRC to make informed decisions about products, pricing, marketing strategies, and overall business strategies.


Essential Position Responsibilities:



  • Gain in-depth knowledge and understanding of DRC's products and services (including product features and capabilities, strategies, market share, product/service positioning and messaging, go-to-market processes, differentiators, product goals and objectives).
  • Lead the competitive analysis of the strategies, offerings, capabilities, market strengths and weaknesses of competitors compared to DRC, making and prioritizing recommendations to executive leadership to drive sales and capture greater market share.
  • Apply both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies to interpret data and identify trends.


  • Plan and lead customer/user interviews and focus groups to understand customer needs for current and future product offerings.


  • Identify, monitor,and analyze market trends affecting DRC's business portfolio.
  • Create and deliver detailed reports and presentations to communicate research findings to stakeholders.
  • Lead cross functional work teams with sales, product management, and business development to:

    • Translate customer/prospect feedback into product requirements and enhancements
    • Develop action plans on positioning, messaging, product launch strategies, sales enablement.
    • Determine/evaluate the effectiveness of current channels.
    • Create go-to-market plans for new products and services.
    • Develop and implement action plans to counter the advantages of competitors.
    • Map and analyze customer experience steps to identify/recommend improvement.


  • Lead collaborative efforts across the organization to identify and vet strategic partnerships beneficial to DRC.



Preferred Qualifications



  • 5+ years experience in a Marketing Analyst or similar role.
  • B.A./B.S. degree with advanced degree preferred.
  • Ability to effectively work within a matrixed organization and at multiple management/executive levels.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills
  • Solid understanding and proven experience with market research.

  • Experience using statistical software and techniques for data analysis.
  • Creative, analytical, and technical aptitude.
  • Experience in Education, Edtech, assessment or related field.

Reporting to this position: Nodirect reports



Physical Requirements:



  • Ability to sit and/or stand for up to 8-hour periods of time.
  • Ability to look at a computer monitor and utilize a keyboard and/or mouse for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds as necessary.
