We are presently seeking an IT Infrastructure Manager, Servers & Storage who will work out of our corporate headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA. and is committed to ensuring overall business success and corporate governance. Main responsibilities:

• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of server and storage IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing guidance and support.
• Infrastructure Management: Oversee the daily operations of our physical and virtual server environments, including Windows and Linux systems. Manage and maintain our enterprise storage solutions.
• Hands-On Technical Work: Actively participate in the configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting of servers, storage systems, and related technologies. Serve as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues.
• Project Management: Plan, execute, and deliver server and storage-related projects on time and within budget. Coordinate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Backup and Disaster Recovery: Design, implement, and manage our backup, recovery, and business continuity strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with other IT departments, business units, and external vendors to ensure seamless integration and alignment with organizational goals. Clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Technical Expertise

  • Deep knowledge of Windows Server (AD, DNS, DHCP, clustering);
  • Perform complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis for server and storage issues;
  • Strong proficiency with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V;
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise storage technologies, RAID, snapshots, replication, tiered storage;
  • Automation and scripting skills for provisioning and configuration management;
  • Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions;
  • Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools and log aggregation;
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and hybrid infrastructure;
  • Understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security best practices;
  • Execute server patching, updates, and security hardening procedures.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate technical teams in a 24O7 enterprise environment;
  • Strong project-management discipline: scope definition, scheduling, risk mitigation, vendor management, and budget control;
  • Clear, concise verbal and written communication; comfortable presenting to executives and front-line staff alike;
  • Analytical mindset with a bias for data-driven decision-making and relentless pursuit of service improvement;

Experience Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in server and storage administration;
• Minimum 3 years of team leadership or supervisory experience;
• Experience managing enterprise-level infrastructure in organizations with 500+ users;
• Background in both on-premises and cloud infrastructure management;
• Track record of successful large-scale infrastructure projects and migrations.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical field;
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered;
• Relevant industry certifications may substitute for formal education requirements.
