JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Smeal College of Business Management & Organization Department is seeking applicants for a part-time teaching assistant for BA 801.

Job duties to include:

  • Assist with grading assignments, including entering scores and feedback into a rubric based on the assignment criteria, as well as providing more substantive top-focused recommendations on areas for improvement.
  • Perform technical and administrative tasks as needed (e.g., uploading materials to the course Canvas platform, compiling peer feedback into reports, assembling materials for class activities)
  • Additional teaching-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements, qualifications, and/or competencies:

  • Graduate degree in a related topic area completed or in progress
  • Must be available to work on the weekend

Schedule:

  • August 25, 2025 - October 19, 2025
  • 16 hours every other week (+/- 2 hours)

Compensation:

The rate for this job is $18 - $20 per hour, based on experience.
