Our Core Beliefs: Be Well, Work Well | Create an Experience | Life-long Learning | Do the Right Thing As the Corporate Human Resources Generalist, you will be an HR partner to leaders and hiring managers across multiple plant locations. This role delivers comprehensive HR support in employee relations, labor relations, performance management, and policy compliance. The Corporate HR Generalist ensures consistency in practices while supporting the unique needs of each location. In this role, you will:
- Serve as primary HR business partner to 10 manufacturing plants along the East Coast.
- Partner closely with site leaders and frontline managers to provide guidance on employee relations, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, investigations, and policy interpretation.
- Support union and non-union locations; participate in labor contract administration and collaborate with labor relations leadership on negotiations, grievances, and contract compliance.
- Ensure consistent application of HR policies, procedures, and programs across all locations while adjusting as needed to comply with local labor laws and collective bargaining agreements.
- Drive talent management activities including succession planning, performance reviews, leadership development, and retention strategies across the network.
- Facilitate the Corporate new-hire onboarding - initiating pre-employment processes, preparing orientation materials, partnering with hiring managers for Day 1 logistics, and ensuring a smooth transition from new hire to employee.
- Collaborate with Safety, Operations, and Legal teams to maintain compliance with federal and state employment regulations (EEO, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA, etc.).
- Develop and deliver training for managers and supervisors on HR processes, employee engagement, labor relations, and compliance topics.
- Monitor HR metrics (turnover, staffing levels, absenteeism, labor hours, safety incidents).
- Lead special projects at the corporate level, e.g., policy updates, change initiatives and champion consistent change management messaging across locations.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 1 year in a multi-site environment; manufacturing, supply chain, or distribution industry preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience supporting both union and non-union employee populations.
- Strong working knowledge of labor and employment laws and HR best practices.
- Available to travel 20% to multiple site locations, 7 of 10 are driving distance.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to influence and partner with leaders and partner/mentor HR Managers in the field.
