A Brief Overview
The primary purpose of the Administrative Fellowship Program is to transition top graduate students into health care operations management positions through focused mentoring, special projects, and leadership experiences. During this one year program, the Administrative Fellow will work on, and manage, a wide variety of projects throughout the Enterprise, participate in various meetings, and other professional experiences. The Administrative Fellow will serve as project manager and/or provide project support to a variety of teams throughout the enterprise.

The Administrative Fellow will meet with the Center for Healthcare Quality Analytics (CHQA) Enterprise Improvement team regularly throughout the Fellowship Program. The fellow will have mentoring from CHQA and other CHOP senior leaders, this will allow the Fellow the opportunity to gain further insight and guidance around professional growth, leadership development, and change management strategies. Fellows will gain valuable knowledge, skills, and abilities to address the complex challenges of today's healthcare environment.

What you will do

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives including analyzing data, presenting findings, and implementing initiatives and programs
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned
  • Build effective health care management skills and the ability to work with administrative leaders, as well as physician and clinical leaders
  • Develop competencies in operations, strategy, and finance
  • Lead recruitment of incoming Administrative Fellow
  • Attend and contribute to senior management and board meetings

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree - Required
  • Master's Degree - Preferred

Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of quantitative and/or qualitative methods for the development and management of emergency preparedness programs and initiatives (Required proficiency)
  • Demonstrated analytic ability (Required proficiency)
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communications skills (Required proficiency)
  • Commitment to cultural competency and diversity in the workplace (Required proficiency)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook (Required proficiency)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills (Required proficiency)
  • Ability to maintain and operationalize emergency preparedness associated technologies, as needed (Required proficiency)
  • Willing to be challenged at a high level (Required proficiency)
  • Energetic, hard-working, ambitious, and a self-starter (Required proficiency)

Salary ranges are shown for full-time jobs. If you're working part-time, your pay will be adjusted accordingly.
