The Senior Solution Expert with FinThrive plays a crucial role in coordinating knowledge and expertise across key departments. They work with operations to optimize efficiency and productivity, ensuring that processes are compliant with Medicare regulations, and monitor industry trends to stay ahead of changes. They build strong relationships with customers based on trust. With sales, they provide in-depth knowledge and create effective strategies. This expert also collaborates with the product teams to ensure that services meet market demands and regulatory requirements, offering strategic insights to leadership to inform company vision and decision-making.



This role is responsible for researching industry regulation changes as it pertains to Medicare Bad Debt, DSH and UCA. This involves identifying new Medicare regulations, analyzing their impacts on company operations and strategies, developing compliance plans, and educating internal teams about regulatory updates. They also play a key role in analyzing customer results year over year. They review data to understand customer behavior and satisfaction, identify patterns and growth opportunities, and recommend improvements to enhance customer experience. By leveraging their industry credibility, they provide clients with authoritative guidance, ensuring that the company's solutions align with best practices and regulatory standards.



What you will do



  • Advise customers as a Sr Solution Expert, guiding them through regulatory complexities and optimizing Medicare Bad Debt, DSH and UCA reimbursement through tailored consulting approach
  • Monitor industry communications and change notifications to keep current on potential Medicare Bad Debt, DSH and/or UCA regulation updates
  • Organize meetings and prepare materials to train internal teams on regulatory updates or auditor interpretation changes
  • Work directly with sales to identify, target and close sales opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with the product team to align software and services offerings with evolving market demands and ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Work directly with customer success to create and present materials identifying compliance gaps and recommend process improvements
  • Deliver insights from internal in-depth Medicare Bad Debt, DSH and UCA reviews, leading to improved accuracy and increased reimbursement opportunities
  • Analyze emerging industry trends, deliver insights on customer impact and guiding proactive business responses



What you will bring



  • 15+ years of experience in Medicare reimbursement, cost reporting, or healthcare finance
  • Working knowledge of Medicare Bad Debt, DSH, UCA and cost report preparation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly
  • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and advise clients
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other tools used for financial analysis and reporting
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced consulting environment


  • Travel required: Up to 50% (travel could reach 2 out of every 4 weeks)



What we would like to see



  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 1+ years' experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management
  • Experience working in a hospital setting
  • Experience with Epic, Meditech, McKesson or Cerner EHRs and/or exposure to Healthcare Information technology
  • Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information
