Maintenance Tech I/II (Weekends)

Work Schedule:

  • 3/12's - Friday-Sunday
  • 5:00am-5:00pm

Required OT (overtime):

  • Current OT rates are upwards of 10 hours per biweekly pay period

Pay Range:

  • $28.00 - $39.00/hour
  • Raises and promotions are based on performance

Daily Expectations:

  • Receive, prioritize, and complete repair and installation work orders on time.
  • Diagnose issues with equipment, machinery, and facility systems. You may become the "primary" contact for specialized equipment like robotics, hydraulics, or pneumatics.
  • Disassemble, adjust, repair, reassemble, and retest components such as valves, pumps, motors, and tools.
  • Schedules, coordinates, and performs regularly scheduled preventative maintenance on machinery, processing equipment and facilities systems. May orient other Maintenance Technicians on TPM methods.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and work with a team to ensure best practices.
  • Regularly conduct inspections of equipment for efficiency, potential issues, and keep accurate records/documentation.
  • Work in compliance with manuals, diagrams, codes, and safety regulations.
  • Support with weather-related safety measures and associated preventive measures.
  • Maintain an organized workspace and ensure tools are in top condition.
  • Actively participate in onsite safety programs.
  • Regularly communicate problems and improvement opportunities to supervisor.
  • Able to work overtime as required.
  • Contribute wherever you can to help the team succeed.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years in an industrial setting or an associate degree in automotive, industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Comfortable using a multimeter to diagnose 24V electrical controls.
  • Ability to disassemble and replace bearings and motors.
  • Self-motivated with confidence to work on your own.
  • Familiar with common business software and maintenance program tools.
  • Ability to diagnose issues and determine the best corrective actions.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, diagrams, manuals, and specifications accurately.
  • Ability to read precision instruments and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Commitment to observe and follow all safety rules and regulations.
  • Pass an electrical assessment during the interview process.

Above and Beyond Qualifications:

  • A degree in Industrial Technology or Maintenance or 5+ years of hands-on experience in an industrial environment.
  • Confident in diagnosing and fixing equipment issues.
  • Ability to identify and order correct parts.
  • Comfortable reading electrical drawings, symbols, and manuals.
  • Interested in growing into a leadership role.
  • Experience with PLCs and ladder logic.
  • Skilled at troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, including components at 120V, 277V, and 480V.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically.

Working Conditions:

  • Typically works in a manufacturing environment, standing for long periods of time, and requires the ability to move materials weighing up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to operate small hand tools as well as common shop floor equipment

Pay:

The pay range for this position is $28 - $39 USD hourly. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
