We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Technical Accounting Lead to join our team, with a focus on supporting pricing and packaging initiatives. In this unique cross-functional role, you will partner closely with the Product, Finance, Legal, and Deal Desk teams to assess and influence how we bring new offerings to market. This is a high-impact position that goes beyond traditional revenue accounting to evaluate the accounting impacts of new product offerings and pricing structures, while also ensuring that these strategies are operationalized in a scalable manner across our CRM, ERP, and Billing systems. If you are excited by the challenge of translating complex accounting guidance into practical, business-friendly solutions - and want to work at the intersection of strategy, product innovation, and finance - this is the opportunity for you. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Manager of Technical Accounting.

You will:

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to anticipate and advise on downstream revenue recognition impacts from product and pricing decisions
  • Lead ASC 606 accounting assessments on strategic go-to-market and pricing initiatives, including the preparation of written accounting memos
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable processes that support dynamic pricing strategies and revenue growth
  • Support ongoing external audit requirements by maintaining robust internal controls related to revenue recognition and pricing changes, proactively adapting controls as pricing models and product offerings evolve
  • Maintain and manage the item catalog in NetSuite, ensuring proper configuration based on revenue recognition conclusions

You have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in revenue accounting or technical accounting roles
  • Strong working knowledge of ASC 606, including experience with judgment-heavy topics such as SSP, variable consideration, and principal vs. agent assessments
  • A deep understanding of order-to-cash processes and systems (e.g., NetSuite and Salesforce) and how technical conclusions impact operations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to translate complex accounting concepts into clear, actionable guidance for cross-functional partners
  • Proven experience in researching, documenting, and presenting technical accounting positions

You have an advantage if:

  • You have obtained CPA certification or have passed the CPA exam and are working towards licensure
  • You have exposure to the application of ASC 606 in SaaS or technology companies with both SaaS and On-Premise offerings
  • You are adaptable, intellectually curious, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • You embrace challenges and strive for continuous improvement
  • You foster collaboration and teamwork through a positive attitude
