The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary The Bala lab seeks a research technician to assist with the study of ocular disease biology. Responsibilities Responsibilities include providing laboratory-based assistance to senior scientists in the laboratory with basic lab management, managing mouse colonies, and performing basic molecular biology techniques. Minimum Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent certificate. Technical training or equivalent of at least 6 months of some related laboratory experience. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in mouse handling, molecular biology techniques such as PCR genotyping, and ocular techniques such as intraocular pressure measurements. Experience in image analysis software such as imaris, photoshop and illustrator is a plus.
