The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary The Department of Physiology/Cellular Biophysics is looking to hire a Technician B to work in the laboratory of Dr. Mancia. As a Tech B the finalist will enjoy an unique, immersive introductory experience in biomedical research, with an emplasis on molecular biology, membrane protein production, biochemistry and structural biology techniques. This experience is intended to prepare the Tech B for a career in scientific research. This position will work in a state-of-the-art membrane protein biochemistry laboratory under a senior lab member. Initially, the Technician B will work closely with a postdoctoral researcher who will familiarize the incumbent with the Mancia lab, introduce the incumbent to basic laboratory skills and molecular biology techniques. As the incumbent gains experience and independence, they will work to support other members of the laboratory, as well as undertake projects of their own. Responsibilities
