What you'll be doing

Provides advanced administrative and program support to the Spokane Regional Health District's Community Health Division. This position addresses the more complex program needs and functions independently in daily tasks. This position also uses initiative and independent judgement on non-routine matters, identifies and resolves problems, and performs a wide variety of complex tasks under general supervision.

Some Essential Functions Include:

  • Using a variety of computer applications, creates templates, spreadsheets, macros, presentation materials, slides, charts, and graphics.
  • Assists in planning and coordinating meetings, events, focus groups, and forums (monitoring signups, room reservations, set-up, food, materials, sign-in, etc.)
  • Maintains supply of program-specific materials, fulfills order requests, tracks data on orders, and develops reports.
  • Processes a variety of moderately difficult to complex paperwork, including expense reports, petty cash requests, purchase orders, invoices, etc.
  • Contacts customers/participants/partners via phone or email as requested by the program manager and follows scripts if provided.

What we need from you

Required Qualifications:

  • High School graduate or GED
  • Three years of advanced administrative support experience, including computer applications such as Office 365, spreadsheet development and management, office equipment functions such as telephone and email, database management, customer service skills, etc.
  • Valid motor vehicle license and current auto insurance

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working with diverse populations or related experience in a similar capacity, with some knowledge of the needs, concerns, and barriers of diverse populations.
  • Previous experience or knowledge relating to working with low-income and marginalized populations, social service work, or other applicable experience.
