The Quality Control Coordinator works directly with the Quality Manager creating, maintaining and adhering to the Quality Management System.
Essential Functions
1. Contribute to the development and maintenance of all quality system documentation.
2. Maintain and provide continual improvement to the Quality Process Monitoring Systems including product and process inspection, process audits, first article inspection, etc.
3. Assists in Return Material Authorization activities to include processing and tracking returned product
4. Assists in problem-solving efforts to determine root cause(s) and develop corrective actions.
5. Assist in preparing quality reports for monthly metrics and Management Review meetings.
6. Accessible to employees with questions or suggestions for quality issues.
7. Maintain calibration and equipment maintenance logs and schedules.
8. Performs some level of calibration.
9. Maintain Internal and customer asset logs.
10. Support in the reconciliation of customer and supplier quality issues as required.
Competencies
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in an office environment and on the production floor. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. On the production floor, the employee is occasionally exposed to working near moving mechanical parts and caustic fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, use fine hand motor skills/dexterity, use repetitive motions, and lift and/or move up to 15 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Travel
This position does not have any specific travel requirements; however, some level of travel maybe required.
