Overview

The Press Room Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing the printing process, ensuring high-quality production while optimizing efficiency and profitability. This position is responsible for coordinating daily operations, managing a team of press operators and leads, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The supervisor collaborates closely with other departments to meet production goals and uphold CPI's vision and values.



Responsibilities

    Establish daily press room priorities, adjust work schedules, and coordinate efforts between shifts to meet safety, quality, and on-time delivery objectives.
  • Maintain a strong floor presence (over 50% of the shift), review timecards for payroll, enforce company policies, execute disciplinary actions as needed, engage in the performance review process, provide timely feedback, and drive efficiency through metrics and accountability.
  • Enforce all safety policies and procedures, including PPE requirements, incident reporting, and mandatory safety training.
  • Enforce quality checks, support root cause analysis investigations, and ensure compliance with quality policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for 100's of SKU's of materials, keeping accurate inventories, and proactively working with Procurement to ensure there is zero downtime due to material outages.
  • Collaborate with Client Success and clients to understand their needs, propose solutions, and assist with concerns.
  • Enforcing compliance requirements including ISO, PCI, state and federal laws, and ensuring the completion of associated employee training
  • Recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance, and product quality while supporting the development of standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Work closely with other supervisors to coordinate interdepartmental activities.
  • Partners with manager and HR to effectively resolve conflict, negate risk and support a positive work environment that encompasses CPI's vision and values.
  • Other duties and expectations as assigned.

Pay range depending on experience: $71,800 - $89,600



Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated commitment to doing the right thing, striving for excellence, staying curious and being a great partner.
  • Bachelor's degree in an operations-related field or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience in a production environment required.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a press room, including print technology, including silk screen experience or manufacturing setting preferred.
  • Intermediate English proficiency required.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to work required hours, including availability for all shifts and occasional overtime.
  • Work performed in a manufacturing environment with prolonged standing, occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs.), climbing ladders, and exposure to production equipment.
  • Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color differentiation, and depth perception.
