Description

Project Manager Overview:

This is a full-time, Monday - Friday, salaried exempt position. Remote or hybrid work is available, with initial training and occasional meetings based out of the Walsworth - Overland Park, Kansas, office. Under the direction of the Project Manager Lead, the Technology Project Coordinator will direct, oversee, monitor and report on the Technology project portfolio. This position will collaborate with project leaders to create, implement and report on project plans for technology projects. The Technology Product Coordinator participates at the highest levels in the planning of customer facing and internal products/projects which require the define/design/develop (discovery) process.

Essential Responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain a consistent project management process within the Walsworth Technology Group

* Coordinate and provide direction to project owners/leaders during the building of project plans and plan progress reporting.

* Work closely with the various technology departments on a regular basis to ensure that project plans are kept up-to-date and that reporting is provided to Technology management.

* Ensure that project owners carry out their project management duties while complying with company standards.

* Review, improve and draft new project management office processes and polices.

* Document and present active project's justification, budget, and scope on a regular basis to Technology leadership.

* Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of project management best practices within the Technology division.

* Attend meetings where proposed projects are discussed

* Attend meetings with business unit managers

* Participate in expense and capital budgeting

* Lead staff in meeting project deadlines

* Be responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating functions of project management

Qualifications:

* Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures.

* Excellent written and oral communication skills.

* Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.

* Attention to detail are important to this role.

* Strong multi-tasking and interpersonal abilities.

* Strong leadership skills are required to excel in this role.

* Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.

* Have strong technical documentation skills

* Have proven analytical and problem-solving abilities

Education and Experience:

* Four-year degree in business or a similar field, and/or 2-4 years equivalent work experience.

* PMP or Project Management Professional Certification is preferred

* Experience with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies is desired.

* Strong knowledge of project management best practices and methodologies.

* Experience with software applications.

Requirements:

- Must be authorized to work within the U.S. (Walsworth does not offer employment sponsorship now or in the future.)

- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check and social media check

- Must be willing to commute into the Overland Park, Marceline and other facilities as needed
