LOCATION: Point Mugu, CA

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer (TCS). The Systems Engineer (TCS) provides technical expertise and engineering support for the design, development, integration, and maintenance of Naval Target Control Systems (SNTC). This role involves hands-on work in system configuration, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure the successful deployment and sustainment of Navy target control platforms. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in Navy organizational structures such as the Competency Aligned Organization (CAO) and the Integrated Product Team (IPT) framework. This position supports the full lifecycle of system development and requires a strong understanding of the components and hardware associated with the assigned Task Order.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in:

    • System design and development

    • Systems integration and configuration

    • Installation and testing

    • Troubleshooting and intermediate-level maintenance engineering

  • Demonstrated knowledge and support of Naval Target Control Systems (SNTC)

  • Familiarity with:

    • U.S. Navy's Competency Aligned Organizational (CAO) structure

    • U.S. Navy's Integrated Product Team (IPT) structure

  • Knowledge of:

    • SNTC components and all associated platform support and hardware of this Task Order

  • Active DoD Secret clearance

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the design and development of Naval Target Control Systems (SNTC)

  • Perform systems integration, hardware configuration, and platform installation

  • Conduct testing, evaluation, and verification of system components

  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide intermediate-level maintenance engineering

  • Ensure systems meet operational, safety, and performance standards

  • Collaborate with Navy CAO and IPT teams to coordinate engineering activities

  • Maintain technical documentation and support reporting requirements

  • Provide engineering input for upgrades, modifications, and future enhancements
