Job Description

Overview of the Position:


The Electronic Repair Technician will be responsible to troubleshoot and repair existing electronic components, circuits, and equipment, as well as assembling new components, circuits, and equipment to include special test boxes, circuit boards, wiring harnesses, and test stands. The Electronic Repair Technician has the responsibility and authority to perform assigned tasks.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Troubleshoot and repair current PHS test fixtures and test stands.
  • Troubleshoot and repair aviation product pc boards, such as refrigeration controllers, sink controllers, oven controllers and various other pc board assemblies as directed.
  • Assist in design, development, and manufacturing of PHS alternate parts, test fixtures, test stands with complete documentation packages, schematics, wiring diagrams, BOM and operating instructions.
  • Other duties as assigned



Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Capable of reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, CMMs, customer specifications, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence


  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Organized and Detail oriented
  • Ability to work with and draw from a variety of materials and technical applications
  • Demonstrated design experience of mechanical or electrical components



Education /Experience Requirements:



  • Bachelors or Associates of Electronic Engineering Technology or equivalent discipline. Can be substituted with military training and experience.
  • 4+ years practical experience with component level troubleshooting and repair.
  • Ability and experience to use common industry repair and troubleshooting tools, Oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, etc.
  • Ability to solder and & de-solder per J-STD.
  • Schematic CAD program experience (Altium, etc.) is a plus but not required
  • Labview experience is a plus but not required
