*Description*
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cisco UCS Network Engineer with 5+ years of experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for upgrading, configuring, and maintaining Cisco UCS environments, including UCS Managers, UCS blades, FEX Controllers, interconnects, and blade chassis. This role involves identifying and resolving network vulnerabilities, ensuring a clean and secure environment, and providing 24x7 production on-call support. The candidate will also work with Dell Hardware and VMware environments. Location Priority: Peoria, IL As a part of the enterprise team they will apply advanced level 3 technical support expertise to resolve highly complex customer issues. Accept escalated requests from other technical team members. Use independent judgment to accomplish objectives. Work closely with incident management team in resolving customer issues. Identifies and provides resolutions to a diverse range of complex technical problems. Provide problem determination and resolution for customer issues. Develop and implement resolutions to identified problems, and follows standard practices and procedures. Identify and document with management to proactively revise current procedures and tools to improve customer satisfaction. May need to engage or escalate to more senior resources or to parent companies (Cisco,VMware,RedHat,IBM) to resolve more complex issues. Will be expected to develop and participate in solutions based Converged Infrastructure training and problem resolution skills development. Develops broad knowledge of the organization's and relates it to day-to-day issues. Required: * 3 to 5 years of professional experience required. * Ability to build/configure Cisco UCS platform required. * Experience using UCS Central to configure UCS platform required. * Experience using VMware virtualization specifically on a UCS platform or other converged architecture required. * Networking background strongly desired. * Experience with installing and supporting Microsoft Windows servers strongly desired. * Experience with installing and supporting Redhat Linux servers strongly desired. * Experience with installing and supporting Netapp based NAS solutions strong desired. * Experience with installing and supporting EMC based NAS solutions strongly desired. * Ability to troubleshoot and perform root cause discovery during incidents which may involve storage, networking, or server-side investigation strongly desired. * Differentiating factor: years of experience. Key Responsibilities: Associate profiles from UCS Central. Utilize Cisco tools for creating profiles with scripts. Create Domain & Organization in UCS Central. Perform weekly and hourly backups of the domain in UCS Central. Identify, assess, and remediate network vulnerabilities within the Cisco UCS environment. Perform regular maintenance and updates to Cisco UCS systems, Fabric Interconnects, and Dell Hardware. Configure and manage VMware environments to ensure optimal performance and security. Collaborate with the security team to implement best practices and security measures. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Document network configurations, changes, and procedures. Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and departments. Strong knowledge of Nexus Switches, EMC SAN, and NetApp SAN. Proficiency in configuring and maintaining VLANs, IP Pools, and service profiles. Experience with VBlock infrastructure and VMware environments. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a 24x7 production support environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills. *Experience Level* Intermediate Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
