Are you detail-oriented and thrive on driving results in a collaborative environment? Securian Financial is seeking an Client Security Response Lead responsible for client inquiries to join our team! In this role, you will lead the delivery of accurate and detailed information about our organization's IT capabilities and security measures, demonstrating our commitment to operating safely and securely. You will work closely with business stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) across the company to understand and communicate our policies, standards, and technology, ensuring we deliver the most relevant, up-to-date information to clients. This role also monitors industry trends, drives process improvement, builds partnerships, and presents deliverables to stakeholders both within Securian and externally.

Lead Client Response Inquiries:

  • Lead the collection and deliver consistent, targeted client responses focused on security, governance, and IT related inquiries.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the company's products and services to effectively deliver accurate and robust client responses.
  • Foster a customer-centric mindset and produce consistent, timely client response practices.
  • Partner with various sales and account teams to understand the context of client engagements and leverage insights to deliver clear and concise responses.
  • Facilitate and/or attend client virtual and/or onsite engagements to represent and respond to security, governance and IT related inquiries.
  • Engage and prepare SME(s) when needed to assist in providing a deeper level of verification required for a client response.
  • Partner with legal, risk and technology to stay on top of policies, standards and evolving technology advancements that strengthen our client responses.
  • Document insights and maintain key artifacts from external client response engagements to share with internal teams and/or use for efficiency in future client response engagements.

Drive Program Maturity:

  • Maintain continuous engagement with business and stakeholders to understand changing customer needs. Share insights from client questionnaires and facilitate discussions to uncover opportunities that will enhance client value and ability to meet client expectations.
  • Conduct regular business reviews to evaluate client satisfaction with the quality of client responses. Identify process improvements and uncover value-added enhancements that support efficiency and accuracy in client responses.
  • Identify and monitor metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of our client response program.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in client response, technology, risk management, legal, information security, or a related field.
  • Technical proficiency to understand the big picture of how our software, systems and implemented controls support and meet our client's expectations.
  • Understanding of IT systems, networks, cybersecurity, and risk management frameworks.
  • Experience facilitating stakeholder meetings on complex issues.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to independently manage multiple client engagements and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Proficiency in advanced reporting and data analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for cybersecurity, compliance and regulations, such as those related to like NYDFS, NIST, HIPAA, SOX, SOC 1 & 2, and ISO 27001k.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, CTPRP) (or willingness to obtain).
  • Experience in financial services or insurance industries.

The estimated base pay range for this job is:

$84,000.00 - $155,000.00

Pay may vary depending on job-related factors and individual experience, skills, knowledge, etc. More information on base pay and incentive pay (if applicable) can be discussed with a member of the Securian Financial Talent Acquisition team.
