We provide accurate, impartial population data and objective analysis to support government agencies, lawmakers, and the public in making informed, data-driven decisions. GPS is seeking a Student Data Analyst to collect, organize, and analyze data related to Group Quarters living facilities in New Mexico. The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
Minimum Qualifications Equivalencies not found for this position Preferred Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Enrolled in a degree-seeking program at UNM. Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress. Preferred Qualifications-Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel -Experience working with data from the U.S. Census Bureau -Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems such as ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS 10, or QGIS -Exposure to programming languages such as Python, R, SAS, SQL -Knowledge of New Mexico's geography and cultural landscape -Strong interpersonal and communication skills -Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team -Must be comfortable making phone calls to relevant organizations Application Instructions Only applications submitted through Please include a cover letter & resume in addition to a copy of your class schedule.
