POSITION SUMMARYAdministrative Assistant 1 is an entry level Administrative Assistant position. Perform varied duties such as general correspondence, screening mail, setting up files and records, preparation of routine reports. Follow procedures with minimal direction. Some judgment and interpretation required.

Part Time - 20-25 hours/week. Flexible schedule between 8am-4pm Monday-Friday and rotating Saturdays. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform varied duties such as screening mail, setting up files and records, and preparation of routine reports
  • Operate a personal computer utilizing one or more software packages to generate general correspondence, reports, spreadsheets and graphics
  • May coordinate meetings, conference presentations, travel arrangements and other routine administrative work
  • May transcribe information, post data, verify or perform mathematical computations, run errands, sort, index, or file readily identifiable records, operate switchboard, and/or occasionally use a typewriter, word processor, calculator, visual display terminal or other office machines
  • Handling the warehouse daily deposit using programs such as Microsoft excel and online banking services. Is responsible for updating and tracking any open payments or discrepancies on our weekly reports.
  • Aiding the manager in administrative duties such as supply replenishments, safety checks etc.
  • Will also be cross trained in warehouse duties that require using an order picker (cherry picker) *it would be good to check if they have an issue with heights, our max height at our warehouse is currently 24ft.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Formal education or experience equivalent to a high school graduate
  • Attention to detail and deadlines
  • Ability to use office equipment including copiers, fax machines, computers, etc.
  • Above average written and verbal communication skills
  • Average keyboarding skills
  • Basic accounting knowledge
  • Ability to project a positive image to customers
  • Administrative/office experience preferred
