Position Title:Senior Talent Acquisition Recruiter - Pediatrics Department:Human Resources Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Recruiter to join our team and play a key role in our talent acquisition strategy for the expansion of our Pediatric Services. The Senior Recruiter will be a talent consultant, creating talent pipelines through sourcing, partnerships and and build strong relationships with hiring managers.

The new Oklahoma Children's Hospital OU Health Behavioral Health Center will offer a re-imagined way of delivering care to some of the most vulnerable children in our community. It is designed with the guiding principles of patient and provider safety, family-centered care, stress reduction and best practices at the forefront and will serve to enhance the well-being of patients, families and staff. The facility is designed with flexibility, allowing for adaptability to meet future patient demands.

General Description: The Senior Recruiter operates as a resource to all members of the Talent Acquisition (TA) team. In addition to performing the duties of a recruiter, the Senior Recruiter provides mentorship to team members in their day-to-day operations, serving as a recruitment subject matter expert, participating in knowledge sharing and best practices, and resulting in the adherence to standards of practice for optimal quality outcomes and customer service. Under general direction from the Portfolio Manager, the Senior Recruiter is responsible for creation, management and ongoing administration of assigned Portfolio projects and initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manages training program for all new Portfolio members. Provides ongoing training sessions for team members to ensure all are up-to-date on current processes and standards of operation. Partners with TA Manager in identifying process improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborates with TA Manager on executing talent acquisition projects and programs including administration and tracking of merger and acquisition activities and Portfolio recruitment campaigns.
  • Identifies internal and external candidates for vacant positions, including assessing job postings and employee referrals, screening resumes and conducting interviews by phone, in person or via electronic media.
  • Manages a high volume of requisitions within a fast-paced environment maintaining a high-touch, career-advisory role when working with candidates.
  • Responsible for managing Leadership and high-priority positions as assigned.
  • Utilizes social media and other platforms to market job opportunities and source for passive candidates.
  • Attends career fairs, networking events, and community outreach opportunities regularly on behalf of the Portfolio and TA Team. Maintains memberships in and rapport with professional associations.
  • Establishes and foster relationships with hiring managers, candidates, and referral sources.
  • Conducts strategy meetings with hiring managers and/or TA team members to identify expectations, clarify processes, and provide regular updates. Has business and financial acumen to understand and tailor activities to meet the business' overall objectives.
  • Advises hiring managers and facilitates in selection decision-making meetings using subject matter expertise. Cultivates relationships with hiring managers and prospects that go beyond current openings.
  • Serves as talent consultant on best practices and recruiting to clients and peers. Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the areas of recruiting and Healthcare by reading and attending professional development activities including webinars and professional association meetings. Continually researches and evaluates external marketplace and maintains ongoing awareness of business environment.
  • Posts jobs through internal and external media, utilizing advanced sourcing techniques to identify qualified passive and active candidates. Maintains current knowledge of emerging technology to stay abreast of innovative sourcing trends and best recruitment practices.
  • Collects, processes, and maintains applicant data including, but not limited to, interviewer recommendations and assessment results.
  • With approval of the Portfolio Manager, strategically utilizes staffing agencies and external search firms. Serves as liaison between hiring managers and staffing agencies.
  • Maintains updated candidate status and dispositions in applicant tracking system to ensure compliance with company policies as well as federal and state employment laws.
  • Advises hiring managers and facilitates in selection decision-making meetings.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree required.

Experience: 5 years of professional work experience required. Minimum of one (1) year of current or previous employment as a recruiter required. Demonstrated continual increase in proactive responsibilities supporting talent acquisition.

License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR, PHR, or other approved relevant certification at the time of hire or attainment within 12 months of hire.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Extensive knowledge of OUH TA full-cycle recruitment and applicable processes, practices, and policies.
  • Broad range of experience with recruiting multiple skill sets and job functions.
  • Advanced skills within OUH Applicant Tracking System.
  • Self-motivated and self-starter who works well under pressure.
  • Highly organized with demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage a high volume of requisitions.
  • Superb communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Technologically savvy, including proficiency with MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
