Job Description

TITLE: Accounting Analyst-ASC
REPORTS TO: Plant Controller
SUMMARY: Lead and support core financial operations across accounting, accounts payable, and business partnering activities. This role requires a solid understanding of financial processes, compliance, and data accuracy, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and drive improvements in financial reporting and decision-making support.

RESPONSIBILITIES & PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

Accounting & Compliance

  • Execute system run integrations to ensure accurate financial data consolidation.
  • Perform and review account reconciliations, ensuring integrity and timeliness.
  • Prepare and post journal entries (JE), ensuring compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
  • Ensure adherence to SOX controls through periodic testing and documentation.
  • Support internal and external audit processes by preparing documentation and addressing audit queries.
  • Manage and improve month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Maintain and document internal financial procedures and ensure alignment with best practices.
  • Oversee inventory count processes and ensure accurate stock valuation and reporting.

Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Supervise payables postings and ensure timely processing in coordination with internal stakeholders.
  • Act as a liaison with key suppliers and provide support throughout the procurement lifecycle.
  • Guide internal teams through the purchasing process and ensure PO compliance.
  • Manage supplier onboarding and data accuracy.
  • Monitor and control departmental expenses in alignment with approved budgets.
  • Oversee payment tracking and follow-up to ensure timely disbursements.
  • Coordinate activities and issue resolution with the Shared Services Center for AP matters (SSC - AP).
  • Create POs and ensure accurate follow-up and documentation across systems.

Business Finance

  • Prepare and deliver expense reports to relevant areas, comparing actuals against budgets and forecasts.
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting cycles.
  • Ensure accuracy and reliability of financial data for business reporting.
  • Actively contribute to training initiatives to enhance financial understanding across departments.

MAJOR CHALLENGES

  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Navigating communication and alignment across finance, procurement, operations, and shared services teams to meet tight deadlines.
  • Process Optimization: Identifying and implementing improvements to streamline closing, reporting, and AP processes while maintaining compliance and control.
  • Data Integrity: Ensuring high data accuracy in dynamic environments with multiple data sources and system integrations.
  • Change Management: Adapting to evolving business needs, regulatory requirements, and digital transformation initiatives while maintaining operational continuity.
  • Compliance Pressure: Sustaining audit readiness and SOX control compliance amid growing complexity and volume of transactions.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Experience in ERP systems and Excel advanced skills.
  • Familiarity with SOX controls and audit processes is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, business acumen, and ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Flexibility for remote work.
