ABOUT THE ROLE

The Head of Commercial Finance will be a key member of the finance team, responsible for leading the financial and commercial evaluation of large customer transactions, contract terms, and capital expenditures for North America Contract Logistics and Freight Management Business. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in the 3PL industry and will be adept at dealing with multicultural teams and strong Leader Capabalities. This role demands a result-driven professional who will focus on the profitability growth of the Integrated 3PL business, which includes Air, Ocean, Ground, and Warehousing.

Key Responsibilities
Financial and Commercial Evaluation
* Lead the financial and commercial evaluation of large customer transactions, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies and goals.
* Assess and analyze contract terms and capital expenditures to determine their financial viability and potential ROI.
* Conduct pricing analysis and evaluate proposed multi-million-dollar transactions, providing strategic recommendations to stakeholders.
Financial Model Development
* Develop and manage financial models to support business decisions and strategies.
* Create detailed financial forecasts and projections to guide business planning and performance measurement.
Profitability Growth
* Focus on driving profitability growth for the Integrated 3PL business, covering Air, Ocean, Ground, and Warehousing operations.

Financial Planning, Analysis, and Reporting
* Manage financial planning, analysis, and reporting for Contract Logistics, Air, Ocean, Ground operations as it relates to Capital Investments
* Develop and manage weekly forecast projections, month-end close processes, and contribute to monthly business reviews.
* Prepare Capex reporting and provide financial insights to support operational decision-making.
Annual Targets and Rolling Forecasts
* Develop annual financial targets and monthly rolling forecasts to ensure alignment with finance requirements and business objectives related to capital investments
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or CPA certification is a plus.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in the 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) business.
* Proven experience in leading financial and commercial evaluations of large transactions and capital expenditures.
* Strong analytical skills with a focus on pricing analysis and financial modeling.
* Experience managing financial planning, analysis, and reporting, particularly in a logistics or supply chain context is beneficial.
* Demonstrated ability to develop and manage financial forecasts and projections.
* Proficiency in English is mandatory; additional language skills are an asset.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in multicultural teams.
* Result-driven and oriented, with a focus on achieving financial and business objectives.
Preferred Skills
* Experience with financial software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
* Knowledge of the logistics and supply chain industry trends and best practices.
* Ability to influence and drive change across various levels of the organization.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
