Staffing Scheduling Coordinator, Nights - Resource Management

Inova Resource Management is looking for a dedicated Staffing Scheduling Coordinator to join our team. This role will be Full-Time, 12 Hour Night Shift (some day rotations as needed), Days Vary, 7:00 p.m.-7:30 a.m.

Staffing Scheduling Coordinator Job Responsibilities:

The Staffing Scheduling Coordinator ensures appropriate and consistent staffing levels throughout the Inova Health System. Provides support to CNO's, Department Directors, elevated users and team members throughout the Inova Health System in maximizing the use of the Smart Square scheduling software. Contributes to analyzing and providing crisis support for critical staffing shortages throughout the Inova Health System.

• Works with each site to ensure sufficient staffing for each shift and that schedules are within budgeted per-patient-day parameters.
• Contributes to providing crisis support for critical staffing shortages within the system and documents and report out to leaders of the Health System in terms of measures taken to support the crisis.
• Utilizes the Smart Square application in everyday system staffing matters as well as helping team members and leaders throughout the Inova Health System with Smart Square related questions and issues.
• Delivers a work product that meets the expectations of the requests, insures Inova team members understanding of Smart Square, and stays within given process and project timelines.
• Actively participates and shares ideas in both team and system projects and status meetings.
• Makes decisions that are consistent with policy, process, and strategy using scheduling metrics.
• Provides orientation and training for new staffing schedulers and coordinators as appropriate.
• Analyzes staffing usage and trends throughout the Health System and within Smart Square to identify opportunities of staffing improvement and optimization.
• Takes incoming calls and call outs and update Smart Square to reflect daily system wide staffing shortages.
• May perform additional projects and duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience: 1 year of relevant office experience in a fast paced environment

Preferred Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree
• Administrative experience in healthcare
